Likened by critics to a partnership of Les Paul and Chet Atkins with a touch of Django, they are a must for lovers of blues, swing and roots music, with a sprinkling of bluegrass.
The Wagon Tales
An energetic young band from London whose influences include bluegrass, old time and western swing. All professional musicians, they have performed with acts as diverse as Madness and the English Chamber Orchestra.
The Moretons
A multi-instrumentalist, Chris was acoustic guitarist of the year in 1997 and is rated as ‘the best bluegrass guitarist in the country’ (The Independent). Chris’s wife, Wendy, accompanies him on the double bass.
The Down County Boys
Formed in 1964 and still going strong, the Down County Boys are one of the UK’s most popular bluegrass bands. Superb instrumentals, precise harmonies, and a great sense of fun.

2012 Linton Festival
2012 Linton Festival will be held on 15-16-17 June in the grounds of the Alma Inn.
We have now completed the line-up for 2012 and have booked Vintage Trouble (as Friday headline) and The Grand Slambovians (Gandalf Murphy) from USA, King Mo from Holland, currently one of the hottest guitar led bands on the European circuit and 24 Pesos (a hot tip from Mr Paul Jones himself!).
Also added Oli Brown (young fast rising blues guitarist) and Eric Bell, founder member and original Thin Lizzy guitarist.
Virtuoso young female guitarist Chantel McGregor is now confirmed, be sure to catch her future session on Paul Jones' Radio 2 show...
After delivering a fantastic set at the 2011 event, we are pleased to confirm Bernie Marsden will return as Saturday headline for 2012. Check the Bands page for further news of what Bernie will be bringing to the festival
Larry Miller, King King (feat Alan Nimmo), Cadillac Kings, Mustangs, Stratus and Red River Blues have all now been added to complete our full line up.
Finally, now confirmed as Sunday headline Earl Thomas with Paddy Milner and the Big Sounds. This promises to be a fantastic finish to the weekend! The full 9-piece band are currently on top form!

Beer on the Wye III
Over 140 beers, plus 99 cider and perries all star in one grand big top-style marquee, pitched in a delightful riverside meadow right in the historic heart of Hereford.
The location must be one of the most atmospheric for any beer festival in the UK. If you haven’t been before, then we think you’re in for a treat at our ‘friendly festival down by the river’.
There is a programme of music from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, a range of hot food, beers, ciders and perries sold in 1/3 pint as well as traditional measures affording the opportunity to taste a wider selection, a range of soft drinks alongside the famous ‘festival fruit punch’ and plenty of space to just chill out.
Sunday is family day with appropriate live entertainment and a number of activities for children of all ages.

OCCUPY THE SPREAD electronic music festival 2012
The Spread Eagle
The event will consist of over 20 DJs from across England and Wales in 2 zones for 14 hours.
throughout the day in the bar we will be show casing some of the best in dark underground sounds like Dub-Step Breaks and Drum...'n Bass, brought to you from the likes of E-Klectik ( The DJ Academy wales ) Glenn Parrie ( crainium breach ) and many more.
Once the sun goes down we will be handing over to Reslive.com from a special live internet broadcast from the bar with Jamie Parnell, Aubrey Fry and Darren C playing the lates in club sounds from around the world. But thats not all !
Outside in zone 1 the Terrace we will also have live DJs playing some deep summer grooves and the best in electronic music from Mike Ingram ( mono body records Leeds ) Naughty but Nice legend Paul Broughton and headlining the event J-ME GRIFFITHS ( ex Hybrid band member and The DJ Academy Wales )
The Spead Eagle will be doing a all day Bar'b'q, and will also have their restaurant open, but book in advance ! Tickets will be availible from April at the Spread Eagle ( king street ) and Calandras Menswear ( east street ) and will cost £5.00.
You will get a wrist band when you enter that will allow you to leave and return later in the day if you wish.
Children will have free entry to the event if they are with a ticket holding adult. But most leave the venue by 21.00hrs ( by law ! )
If you do not have a ticket then you can still pay on the door, but only if the venue is not too full ! And after 21.00hrs only people with tickets will be able to enter, there will be no-one to take money on the door after 21.00hrs !!!!!

Walk Ten
Join us for the second year at Croft Castle to enjoy a 10km twilight walk to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The route will take you around some of the most beautiful parts of Croft Castle Estate and even though an "enchanted" forest before you return back for music, food and fireworks.
You can bring along your own picnic or you can take advantage of some of the local produce from the tea rooms.
Everyone is welcome so join us for a truly fantastic evening in the country.
Approach from B4362, turning north at Cock Gate between Bircher and Mortimer's Cross; signposted from Ludlow to Leominster road (A49) and from A4110 at Mortimer's Cross.
Children under 16yrs go free but MUST be accompanied by an adult.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
This is a country walk and so sturdy footwear will be necessary as the route covers various terrain.
